The SHOE must go on !!!!
“The Heat is on” exclaimed the Yorkshire Post on the Friday of Bramham, June 3rd 2011 as temperatures hit 75 degrees. The 2011 season had commenced with a blisteringly hot Badminton which had not only fallen over the Easter weekend but coincided with the Royal Wedding and Britains ten day getaway for the non royalists. August: Blair Castle Horse Trials Blair is without doubt the most picturesque of locations. The Castle may be rumoured for sale but it will forever exude history of these parts. We stayed in the beautiful Pitolchry in the heart of Scotland and enjoyed wonderful meals at the local golf club; next time we will do at least 9 if not 18 holes. The Brogue Trader on the Road: A Year in Review - Part Two
June: Bramham Horse Trials, Bramham Once again we missed the best party on the circuit opting for a pint of John Smiths at £1.50 in Wetherby followed by fish ‘n’ chips at the Wetherby Whaler instead - old habits die hard. The weather was blisteringly hot on Thursday and Friday before cooling for my arrival on Saturday. Once again we enjoyed the hospitality of Ruth Buchanan (http://www.ruthbuchanan.co.uk/), one of the most accomplished artists on the circuit.
